Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Happy Easter

Good morning and I hope that all of you celebrating Easter are making the most of this long weekend.

I have not been very organised this year and have not made as many Easter cards as I did last year, so I only have one to share with you today.

I am not sure my photography skills have done this card justice, I hope you can work out the shape and are not confused by the reflections in the mirri card.

This cute little Mo Manning image is rapidly becoming a favouite of mine, she is called Bunches.  After colouring it with Promarkers I layered it on silver mirri and paper from a Papermania stack.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and finally I added a couple of bows.

Have a very happy weekend.

  1. Hi
Oh my! WOW what a fantastic card! LOVE the image too and the shape of the card is amazing as well.I was looking at your card before reading your post and thought that you used acetate because your use of mirri card gave me an impression that your sentiment was floating the way it makes things reflect in it. Love the colour palette you used and the finishing touches with the little bow and flowers.
