Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

More Coneflowers

Woohoo, more coneflowers, they are such pretty flowers and, if the digi artist are to be believed, they are usually covered in butterflies!

Like yesterday's card, I have used this image twice before, back in June 2013 and again in February 2015.

The image is from Eureka Stamps and is called Butterfly and Sunflowers, however, I am pretty sure the flowers have been misnamed and they are actually coneflowers.  I coloured the image with Copic markers and mounted it on silver mirri and Garden Green card from Stampin' Up.  The backing paper and sentiment stamp are also from Stampin' Up.

The butterflies are a Memory Box die and the little flat backed gems are from my stash.

There is still time for you to enter you butterfly and bees projects in the current Craft Boots challenge.

Good luck.

    1. Hi, I have missed your visits but it is great to know that you have been off having such a great time.

I think this butterfly is one of my favourite butterfly images (and not just because I won it for one of my cards) and Memory Box have some amazing butterfly dies - this one comes in parts and you can use as little or as much of it as you like ... I used all of it here.

  2. Ha Ha - you got me, not many manage that! Love this card - your colouring has made the butterfly look three dimensional.

    1. Te he, I thought you would like that one!

I think that is why I like this butterfly so much, it looks great with a just a simple colour graduation.

    1. This Memory Box die is called Fluttering Corner. I get most of my craft supplies on line by Googling whatever I am looking for.

      I hope this helps.
