Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Lemon Jacket

Continuing with my catch-up of the little cardigans and jumpers I have made over the last couple of months.  This lovely Aran jacket jacket pattern is one of my favourites, it takes a lot more time to make than a straightforward cardigan, but the effort is so worthwhile.

A little while ago I made this jacket in white and I recently decided to have another go at it, this time in lemon.

I bought this DK pattern from ebay, it is only referred to at 'Knitting Pattern 398' - ie no publishers name.

I have tried to zoom in here to show you some of the detail.  As you can see, it is full of different stitches and patterns, making this jacket very chunky and warm.

  1. This is gorgeous Dionne I used to knit arran jumpers and cardies when mine were little-yes very cold here had a frost last night and water was still iced over this aft

    1. Thank you Carol. I learnt a lot making this one, a lot of stitches I had never come across before.

It was freezing here all day and then suddenly got a lot warmer this evening. Very unexpected.

      Keep warm.

      Dionne xx
